For $1.98 here just now you can buy one of these, a Kiwano or Jelly Melon. It tastes like a cross between cucumber, melon and banana and in Nicola's words has the texture of frogspawn.It went rather well with some vanilla icecream.
Life is never dull when you have an interesting fruit.

I am afraid that the texture, as described, would give me some problems, even as pretty as it is. Tapioca pudding poses a similar problem, even though it is good with home made chocolate sauce.
Oh no - rasberry jam is the only thing to have with tapioca . . . . .
